CBD is considered a federally illegal Schedule 1 controlled substance because it comes from the cannabis plant. It is available to patients in medical states and legislators are looking into safeguards to protect patients who possess CBD.
Hopefully as the benefits of CBD are realized by the larger public we will see CBD products federally accepted. The fact is that CBD is medicine and can provide treatment for numerous diseases.
